# Paying with crypto

> Pay for your Odds-API.io subscription with BTC, ETH, USDC and 70+ other cryptocurrencies

You can pay for any Odds-API.io plan with cryptocurrency instead of a card. Payments are processed by [CoinGate](https://coingate.com), a MiCA-licensed payment provider regulated by the Bank of Lithuania.

## Getting started

Choose **Crypto** as your payment method at checkout, either when you first subscribe or when you upgrade from the dashboard. You will be taken to a CoinGate payment page where you pick your coin and network, send the payment, and get redirected back to us.

Your API key is issued as soon as the payment confirms on chain. That usually takes a few minutes, though it depends on the coin and network you choose.

## Supported coins

BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, SOL, LTC and more than 70 other cryptocurrencies, across the networks CoinGate supports for each coin. The full list is shown on the payment page.

Prices are always quoted in your local fiat currency. CoinGate converts at the rate shown when you open the payment page.

## How renewals work

This is the one real difference from paying by card.

Crypto payments cannot be charged automatically, because nobody can pull funds from your wallet. So instead of a silent monthly charge, you get an invoice each cycle:

1. On your renewal date we email you a payment link
2. Your API access continues as normal while the invoice is open
3. You pay the link with crypto, and the next month starts

We send a reminder two days in, and again if the invoice goes overdue. If an invoice stays unpaid for a long time the subscription ends and the API key stops working, but we email you well before that happens. You can also pay from **Dashboard → Billing**, where an open renewal shows at the top of the page.

  If a payment link expires before you use it, open **Dashboard → Billing** and select **Get a new payment link**. Nothing is lost, the invoice stays open.

## Upgrades and add-ons

Plan changes, extra requests and the WebSocket add-on all work on crypto. When you make a change mid-cycle, we show you the prorated amount due today before you confirm, then hand you a payment link for that amount. The change activates once the payment confirms.

## Switching between crypto and card

Want to move to card billing? Contact support and we will switch your subscription over. Your plan, API key and settings stay exactly as they are.

## Things worth knowing

* **Send the exact amount.** If your wallet deducts its network fee from the amount you send, the payment arrives short and is flagged as underpaid. We will spot it and get in touch, but sending the exact quoted amount avoids the delay.
* **Refunds are handled manually.** If you need a refund on a crypto payment, email [hello@odds-api.io](mailto:hello@odds-api.io) and we will arrange it directly.
* **Invoices work as normal.** Every crypto payment produces a proper invoice in your dashboard, the same as a card payment.
